The world Gazetteer App was created to enable the user a quick reference to countries geo data and other usefull information relating to the coutries searched.
Use the dropdown search bar provided in the menu above to find the country you wish to lookup
This Api returns a lot of the country general data such as capital city, continent, traffic speed and also the .png image for the countries flag.
The GeoNames api is used to fetch population and area of the country.
Here we fetch the the top stories of the day and return the first in the array.
The main image is taken from the pixabay api which uses the country name to return the top free to use images associated with that country.
Rest countries provides us with currency informtion, timezone, languges spoken.
Simple api used for current exchange rate to the US Dollar
Current weather conditions including humidity, wind speed and temperature.
Also a 7 day forecast for the destination.
